The main objective of this study was to determine the extent to which the 2016/2017 first year students of the College of Health Science of the Delta State University, Abraka use the medical library. The research design used for this study is the descriptive survey design. The study population is 718, consisting of all the first year students admitted into the six departments that make up the College of Health Sciences. Using the purposive sampling technique, the sample size for the study is 144. Results from the study revealed that participation of students in library instruction activity and the extent of use of library services and information resources by first year students of the College of Health Science is low.
